A viral dashcam footage shows the driver swiftly and suddenly changing lanes to the left, causing the officer on the motorcycle to hit the car and fall to the ground.

In an official statement by the Head of the Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department, Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zamzuri Mohd Isa, the police did not sustain any injuries, despite the accident.

Fortunately, the driver did not run away from the accident and immediately stopped by the roadside at a bus stop. According to the statement, both parties went to the police station for further investigation.

We’re glad that the traffic police officer is safe. Remember, turning on the indicator light is important but ensuring that traffic is clear before you change lanes is also equally important. Always be careful on the road!
