A man in Taichung, Taiwan became the talk of the town recently thanks to the rather unconventional parking location of his two vans: The roof of his apartment.
Furthermore, the roof of the apartment building is not meant for parking vehicles and one of his vans actually didn’t fit, with its rear end protruding out and visible from the streets.
As reported by Taiwan News, the man said that he previously parked the vans on the street but it always ended up being fined by the local authorities.
Frustrated, the man, who works as a contractor decided to hire a crane to hoist the vans onto the roof of the apartment building, which he is a resident of.
When neighbours convey their concerns to the man about the safety risk to the building for having two vans parked on its roof, he dismissed them and assured them the building is made of concrete and steel bars.
Moreover, when city officials and police asked him to take the vehicles down, he said,
“It’s not going to affect the building, don’t make a fuss.”
Nevertheless, the man recently say that he would comply with the request to take the vans down. When reporters asked what will happen to the vehicles after they are brought down, the man said that the vans will be parked in the Taoyuan mountains sometime in October.
So, what do you guys think of the whole situation? What’s the most unconventional parking spot you’ve witnessed?
