Recently, a son named Naufal Omar @naufalomar shared a delightful surprise on TikTok that left everyone feeling warm inside. He flew all the way from Korea to Malaysia to surprise his mom on Mother’s Day, and the video he posted gained 101.8K views!

Let’s dive right into this touching scene! Just make sure you have a tissue handy!

In the video, Naufal can be seen approaching his mom, who is sitting in a restaurant with his other family members. As he gets closer, his mom notices him from afar and calls out, “Naufal, Naufal…” Her voice is filled with surprise at the sight of her beloved son.

And then, the waterworks begin. Naufal’s mom is clearly taken aback, her emotions crashing over her like a tidal wave. It’s a familiar reaction for any mother who hasn’t seen her son in a while.

“When did you come back?” she asks. Naufal replies with a smile, “This morning”.

His mom’s voice cracks with heartfelt emotion, and within seconds, tears well up in her eyes. But Naufal quickly reassures her in Korean, saying, “Uljima” (Don’t cry).

“Why didn’t you tell me when you were coming back?” his mom asks, clearly surprised by the sudden reunion.

With a bouquet of flowers in his hand, Naufal closes the distance between them and wraps his arms around his mom in a tight embrace

Naufal’s mom can’t help but ask again, “Why did you come back?” And Naufal, in a playful tone, replies, “There’s a concert”. His mom bursts into laughter. And we can all appreciate a bit of light-hearted humour.

But then, Naufal quickly reveals another reason for his surprise visit—it’s Mother’s Day.

Naufal told WORLD OF BUZZ,

“I had booked my flight to Malaysia specifically for Mother’s Day,” Naufal explained. “But here’s the twist—I also had a concert to attend. So, I devised a plan and enlisted the help of my brother and cousin to pull off the surprise.”

Naufal asked them to tell his mom that he wanted to celebrate Mother’s Day from afar by sending them money for a lunch treat. However, things got a little tricky because his mom had a packed schedule, making it challenging to find the right moment. He came up with another idea, telling his brother and cousin to dress in traditional baju Raya attire, as it was still within the festive month. Additionally, he pre-ordered a beautiful bouquet of flowers from a store in Pavilion to present to her.

But as with any well-laid plan, there were minor hiccups along the way. Naufal’s family arrived at Pavilion a tad later than expected, causing him to find a hidden spot and patiently wait, ensuring he wouldn’t be spotted.

Naufal admitted,

“It’s incredibly difficult to catch her off guard because she’s so perceptive. The moment she laid eyes on me, she was in utter shock and immediately burst into tears.”

Naufal continued, “Even that morning when I was flying back, she had a sudden feeling of anxiety without understanding why.”
