Playing Cyberpunk on a car’s infotainment system is no longer a dream.
On the delivery event of Tesla’s new car, Model S Plaid streamed on Friday (11 June 2021), Elon Musk demonstrated that the car is capable of running the famous role-playing video game Cyberpunk 2077. What’s more exciting is that the performance is said to be on par with the PlayStation 5.
“It is really exciting a car that has state of the art computing technology, state of the art infotainment where this is literally at the level of a PlayStation 5,” said Tesla CEO Elon Musk during the event. He also added that the car has a high frame rate, and it will do 60fps with state of the art games.
The infotainment of Plaid is powered by AMD’s Ryzen processor and a discrete AMD RDNA 2 GPU, according to The Verge. You can watch movies, play games or surf the internet in the car whenever you are not driving.
“Have fun in the games,” Elon Musk said. The car is also compatible with wireless gaming controllers that allows you to game from any of its seats. Read more about the Model S Plaid on Tesla’s official website here.
Although there are still no flying cars now, to be able to game in the car with such high-quality performance is still very much exhilarating!
