Several stray dogs are suspected to have fallen victim to poisoning across Seremban, with birds also being targeted in what appear to be cruel and deliberate acts.
According to a Facebook post by FurryKids Safehaven, the poisoned animals were discovered by local feeders during several incidents across the town.

“This is heartbreaking. This is cruel, and this must stop,” the organisation wrote.
“Since yesterday evening, 14 lives have been lost in what strongly appears to be deliberate poisoning across Seremban.”
The post highlighted several locations where the carcasses were found, including areas near the Royal Gallery Tuanku Ja’afar, behind Istana Hinggap, and at Taman Malaysia.
A plea for the voiceless
The animal welfare group expressed its outrage over the senseless loss of life:
“Dogs. Puppies. Birds. Other wildlife, like squirrels. Innocent lives, taken because of human malice. These strays are voiceless. They feel pain. They suffer. And they deserve protection, not cruelty.”
FurryKids Safehaven confirmed it has lodged a formal report with the Department of Veterinary Services (DVS) in Seremban. The NGO is now urging the public to follow suit, stating that “pressure and awareness are the only ways to ensure this is investigated thoroughly and stopped immediately.”
More poisoned animals were found

A day after its initial post, FurryKids Safehaven shared an update revealing that a further three dogs and several more birds had been found dead.
However, the group noted a discouraging response from the authorities. Law enforcement allegedly informed the group that, without CCTV footage or eyewitness testimony, the case would most likely be marked as No Further Action (NFA).
“If you see suspicious food being left in public areas, report it. If you witness poisoning, document it safely and contact the authorities. If you care about humanity, please share this,” the group urged.
