Cats are sadly among the animals frequently discarded by their owners. Whether it’s due to the inability to care for them or simply a lack of interest, these feline companions often find themselves without a loving home.

But amidst this heartbreaking reality, Mei also known as @memeikrr, a compassionate Malaysian woman who has dedicated herself to rescuing and adopting cats recently shared a heartwarming video on her TikTok account, documenting her rescue and adoption of a stray cat.

The video quickly garnered attention and received an outpouring of positive responses from netizens who were moved by Mei’s actions.

In the video, a cat with black and white spots appeared on Mei’s front door unexpectedly. Recognising the cat’s hunger, Mei provided it with food and water for nourishment. To her surprise, the cat returned to her doorstep the next day and continued to visit in the following days.

Taking it upon herself to find the cat’s owner, Mei created a flyer of a missing cat and shared it in her group chat.

During her interactions with the cat, Mei also noticed that it was infested with fleas and lice. Concerned for the cat’s well-being, she took it to the vet to receive proper medical care.

Despite Mei’s efforts to locate the cat’s owner through various channels, her search proved unsuccessful.

Realising that the cat had found a special place in her heart, Mei made the decision to adopt it. She named the cat Teaniaw, adding an endearing touch to their newfound bond.

Mei’s selfless act of providing a loving home for these feline companions has resulted in a total of 40 cats finding refuge under her care.

As news of Mei’s kind-heartedness spread, netizens’ hearts melted, and they praised her for her remarkable gesture towards all the cats she has rescued and adopted.
