Wendy Loo has the unique job of beautifying the recently deceased with makeup, and when she asked for the public to donate their expired makeup to help the cause – she was quite surprised at the response.
Through her donation drive, Wendy mentions that while old makeup may not be of use for the living, it still does a good job beautifying the skin of the deceased and it would be a waste if they were discarded.
“People were donating premium beauty products, brand new makeup that haven’t even expired.”
“Items such as liquid lipsticks, BB cushions, eyebrow gels and eyeshadow palettes are among the things that have arrived.”
Speaking to World of Buzz, Wendy said that most of her clients were okay with her using old makeup on the deceased.
According to Wendy, the importance of using makeup came as a part of leaving a last good impression.
“Every time I see the family member’s reactions and the look of gratitude on their faces, I always feel hope that the restoration has helped the family.”
She added that donations have been extremely generous up to a point that Wendy repackaged them and sends them to other morticians to use.
She hopes that donations will continue coming in after this.
“As a mortician, there will never be enough. I will always need more eyeshadow palettes for as long as I am working.”
“I am so grateful for the donations, they help me take care of those who have passed on. We give them one last good send off together.”
So if you have old makeup lying around, send them over to Wendy for one last good use.
