In a viral TikTok video, a panicked wife is seen hurriedly searching for her husband after a photo was shared showing her husband allegedly bringing a young woman back home.
Upon arriving home, she immediately rushed toward a room located at the back, filled with intense anger. In a sudden change of atmosphere, the dark room was then illuminated by candlelight, which turned out to be a surprise for her birthday celebration.
The alleged third party was merely a prank. There was no “other woman” at home.
However, the woman remained sceptical and upset about the situation at first because she didn’t believe the matter to be a prank. After calming down, she finally cut the cake and made amends with her husband while tears washed down her cheek.
Is pranking ever a good idea?
Social media users were not amused by the man’s idea to prank his wife with the idea of a 3rd party, and many highlighted that such a prank was not necessary.
Some users also noticed the wife’s reactions, which could indicate that her husband previously “had a history with another woman.”
“Please don’t prank your partner that way, there are many other ways to prank someone.”
“Looks like the man had done something bad in the past because the wife’s reaction was quite something else. I feel you, sis. I experienced that before, and the trauma never healed.”
Another user commented and wondered the same – if the man had cheated before because the wife’s reaction was rather aggressive.
“Why did you have to prank her like this? This is such a sensitive matter to all the wives out there.”
