Animal lovers will make life decisions around their furry friends, be it where they stay or even the career of their choice. For Jaasreen Kaur Sandhu, she chose to dedicate her life to rescuing injured stray dogs and give them a place that they can call home.
Taking care of these dogs demands a lot, and to source for money, Jaasreen sells meatloaf that she bakes herself. However, they are selling poorly, which makes sustaining her dog shelter almost impossible with 107 mouths to feed.
The dogs that she rescued are mostly blind and paralysed, so they need extra care, which demands additional funds. Through ‘A Pet’s Journal’, a Facebook page set up for the dogs, Jaasreen will share updates on the funds she received and where they are spent on.
Recently, she shared that she only managed to sell about five meatloaves at the pet bazaar in Desa Park City. This is way less than the targetted sale of at 30. Fortunately, this did not discourage her from continuing her efforts to care for the dogs.
If you want to help Jaasreen and her self-sustaining dog shelter, you can either donate funds or food for the dogs. All the necessary details can be found on her Facebook page here.
Some individuals go the extra mile when it comes to saving animals, and individuals like this should be supported. Let’s try and help them in any way that we can, OK?
