One of the ways to add character and a slice of your own personality to your vehicles without breaking the bank is by putting stickers on them.
With that in mind, it’s common courtesy to ensure that these stickers are not offensive or portray something negative, as the sensitivity of other road users should be considered.
Recently, an X post went viral on the platform after X user @chairmanGLC shared a photo of a lorry with a couple of stickers that portray explicit sexual messages.
The sticker on the left reads. “Be careful on the road. Holes on the road are not as beautiful as the ‘hole’ at home,” while the one on the right reads, “Papa returns home, mama is wet.”
In the caption, @chairmanGLC reprimanded the lorry driver, saying that such stickers can be read by children, including by his children, when he encountered the lorry while driving.
In the replies to the X post, many Malaysians call out lorry drivers who put sexually explicit messages on the back of their vehicles. In fact, most revealed that stickers such as the ones shared by @chairmanGLC are actually common at the back of lorries and other heavy vehicles.
One commenter said that these sorts of drivers, commonly known as ‘pilot darat’ or ‘land pilot’ by other road users, have a mentality that is below the land.
Besides that, a couple of commenters urged the Road Transport Department (JPJ) to take action against drivers who display these sorts of stickers. One commenter also shared one photo that he snapped of another lorry, with the message “I succumbed to the temptations by a divorcee” displayed on its back.
So, what do you guys think of these stickers? Should JPJ take action against drivers who display such sexually explicit messages? Share your thoughts with us in the comments!
