This recent story of a thief is all anyone can talk about now!

According to Sinar Harian, a man was caught stealing from a home in Kedah. The weird part? He apparently was caught after he couldn’t find the exit to make his escape!

Omar Gul Hadzrat Gul, 77, the owner of the house, said the incident occurred last Friday (28th July) at around 1am in the morning.

“At that time, I got up to use the toilet. Suddenly, I felt a presence and found a bald man sitting by my dining table. He looked weak and tired,” said Omar.

“I asked him if he was a thief and why he didn’t leave the house. He told me he couldn’t find the door to leave and couldn’t even remember where he came in from.”

The homeowner said he then grabbed the thief’s hand and kicked him in the face, causing him to pass out. Walau, uncle!

After handling the thief, Omar quickly called the police, who later arrived at the house and arrested him.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the fist time the senior citizen had a thief break into his house. He shared that before this incident, there were four other people who tried to steal his pet birds in front of his house, but they all of a sudden began to hallucinate and felt disoriented. Feeling scared, they ran away before they could steal anything.

According to the 77-year-old, reciting verses from the Holy Quran has helped keep these criminals at bay.

Omar’s wife, Hasnah Husain, said that the thief broke in through their bedroom window, which is usually unlocked. She said the thief almost made off with RM1,500 in cash, jewellery, four mobile phones, a butcher knife, and even a crocodile’s tooth! Luckily, none of those things were stolen in the end.
