It looks like the boba trend is not dying anytime soon because now, there’s a boba ice cream bar on a stick.
According to Mothership, Shuang Yeh Milk Tea Ice Cream with Pearl (aka boba ice cream) is sold in Singapore on RedMart and Qoo10, both of which are online Singaporean stores. FYI, RedMart is only accessible via Lazada Singapore’s app.
The boba ice cream which is popular in Taiwan comes in a box of five and is sold at SGD9.90 (approx. RM30) on both online stores. Mothership did the maths and they shared that one stick costs SGD1.98 (approx. RM6). That’s not too bad!
Surprisingly, the reviews on the ice cream were rather positive because people who bought it and tried it thought that it was tasty. Well, that’s interesting.
However, one netizen said that that the boba was not very chewy because it was frozen though it did give the ice cream a varied texture. Here are what other reviewers had to say:
Unfortunately, at the time of writing, the boba ice cream has been sold out on Q0010 but a quick check on Lazada Singapore reveals that it is still available on their site.
That said, Shuang Yeh Milk Tea Ice Cream with Pearl is only available in Singapore and not in Malaysia. Hopefully, they will make it available here, soon! #fingerscrossed
