“The unity government is not united at all” PAS Says After Teresa Kok Takes Legal Action Against Dr Akmal

Ever since DAP’s Teresa Kok shared her take on the Halal certificates for F&B outlets in Malaysia, it has caused a chain reaction.

Following UMNO Youth Chief, Dr. Akmal’s fiery response towards the Seputeh MP, Teresa is now taking legal action and demanding RM25 million, on the basis that Akmal twisted her words about the Halal certificate. With the ongoing feud, PAS, who has its eyes on them had something to say.

DAP is the big brother

In a press conference last night (September 11),  PAS Youth Chief, Afnan Hamimi Taib Azamudden highlighted the ongoing “battle” between Teresa and Akmal, who are both under the unity government, and pointed out the lack of unity in the government. 

“They’re under the same unity government but they’re not even united. Now, Teresa is suing Akmal. The government doesn’t seem to bother about unity at all,” Afnan said.

The letter of demand (LOD) that was sent to Akmal by Teresa is also proof that DAP is the “big brother” who’s running the show, according to Afnan.

“That is why PAS should lead the people to save Malaysia from people who can’t lead and who will only use their power for revenge to gain political advantage for themselves.”

In response to Teresa’s RM25 million LOD, Dr. Akmal confidently told her, “See you in court. No fear, no surrender.”
