As celebrities and influencers, you do have a duty to be at your best behaviour at all times no matter the circumstance. However, what happens if you’re forced into a situation that would make you feel uncomfortable.
Recently, a clip from a livestream which featured Thai BL actor Phusanu Wongsasavanichakorn aka Yoon and Thai influencer Leena Jung went viral.
Leena, who was the host of the said stream had made it an uncomfortable show for Yoon after she had pawed at Yoon’s clothes several times and even pulled the sleeve of his shirt up to sniff his armpit!
The duo was apparently doing a live stream together for a brand. However, no one expected Leena to behave the way she did, by tugging at Yoon’s clothes, trying to lift them. Yoon stopped her attempts, but kept his composure with a smile.
However, it wasn’t enough to deter Leena who eventually managed to pull up his sleeve, lift his arm and dove to smell his armpit. She then broke away clapping and laughing as Yoon pulled his sleeve back down, with a rather uncomfortable smile.
Management apologises for discomforting viewers
Following the event, Yoon’s company, Y.Entertainment later uploaded a statement regarding the broadcast. They apologised for the discomfort viewers may have experienced and stated that they do not condone such actions. “We are not indifferent to the problems that arise (from the situation),” they stated.
They also promised to prevent such incidents from occurring with their artists again and mentioned that Yoon is currently taking a break to recuperate his mental health.
Yoon forced to apologise to his harasser
Much to the surprise of fans, it was Yoon who was forced to apologise to Leena as he was filmed handing her a fruit basket as a token of apology.
Netizens outraged and demand that Leena apologise or face legal action
Fans were quick to condemn Leena’s actions online. Several claimed that it was “sexual harassment” with others pointing out Yoon’s behaviour looked forced as time went by. A few bluntly stated that her action of smelling his armpits seemed perverted.
“This is such a farce. Heard she is some famous-something so he ended up apologising and giving her a gift basket. Hope she chokes on it.”
Some fans are hoping that the company will “demand that Leena publicly apologise” or “take legal action for harassment”.
“There’s no way he is the one who’s apologising. How is this not abuse. How is she not punished yet,” commented a user.
Another stated, “At the end of it all he was forced to apologise to his harasser. He looks just as uncomfortable as he was.”
