Following the appalling images of the mouldy cinema seats, TGV cinemas has also come forward to assure the public that they have been keeping their cinemas clean during the movement control order (MCO).
In a post on Facebook, TGV shared several images of seats in what looks like some of their newer cinema halls and said that they have very strict cinema hygiene procedures to keep the halls clean after every movie.
“Hey fellow netizens at home! We saw the new mystery going around concerning mouldy cinema seats. Here’s a little hint for the cyber detectives out there to help narrow down the search. ?” they said.
“We have very strict cinema hygiene procedures which include having the halls thoroughly cleaned after every movie and all equipment at the Candy Bar are wiped and washed daily.”
They added that these guidelines were still kept during the MCO period with each cinema being thoroughly checked by cinema managers at least twice a week.
All equipment are properly stored; the walls, curtains, carpets, seats as well as screens in the cinema halls are thoroughly sanitised and wiped clean.
TGV then shared several images of their cinema halls that were taken on the morning of 14 May.
“So the search continues… ?” TGV said at the end of the post, probably implying that the cinema with the mouldy seats has yet to be verified.
