Over these few days, people have been relentlessly helping the flood victims, be it by physically rescuing them, or through donations.
Yesterday (20 December), Syed Saddiq shared on his Twitter account that the party that he co-founded, MUDA, has raised over RM1 million for the rescue mission in less than 100 hours since the fund was launched.
He also urged the people to come down and help in the rescue mission WITHOUT the need to be a member of MUDA. To assist as a volunteer is more than enough.
According to the press release by MUDA, every ringgit and cents that are donated to the fund will be used to assist the flood victims, in terms of buying essential materials, food, as well as cleaning up the affected areas.
As of 7.05 PM yesterday, Saddiq revealed via another Twitter post that more than 3,000 applicants have been made by volunteers to be part of the rescue team in less than 24 hours!
More and more people are coming forward to help the flood victims!
Saddiq immediately left to Hulu Langat yesterday after the end of the Parliamentary session to assist in the cleaning work. He revealed that even on the 3rd day of the flood, the affected victims still have no access to clean water, electricity as well as the internet.
“Things are much worse here than reported,” he added, saying that the condition in Hulu Langat has made cleaning work almost impossible.
You can watch the condition in Hulu Langat in the video below.
Urusan banjir masih belum selesai.
Banyak kawasan masih dinaiki air.
Di Hulu Langat, terlalu banyak tempat yang terputus bekalan air, elektrik dan line telefon pun dah mati.

As the flood has just started to hit Pahang, Saddiq also revealed this morning that he already has 2 teams in Pahang and they are sending more teams over today to assist with the flood crisis.
We cannot thank the volunteers enough for their commitment to helping the needy during this tough time. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims.
