Non-smokers in general, do not appreciate those who smoke around them, moreover in areas where smoking isn’t allowed in the first place.
Following yesterday’s AFF Semi Final match between Malaysia and Thailand, an individual went viral for all the wrong reasons.
Taking to Twitter, a netizen took it upon himself to reproach several individuals who failed to adhere to the non-smoking rule.
To cut the long story short, the netizen ended up being scolded in return.
Naturally, netizens all over were furious at this man’s behaviour. @encikISWAN tweeted, “I suggest that we project the faces of smokers on the big screen. Announcements should also be made to call out people who break this rule. Stadiums are a smoke-free-zone.”
Otak tu dah penuh asap rokok sampai bengap jadinya.

To which @SyedSaddiq replied, “I agree. I will try and do the necessary in the matches to come. Please respect other people’s rights to not die because of second-hand smoke.”
Saya setuju.
Akan usahakan untuk perlawanan yang akan datang.
Tolong hormati hak orang lain untuk tidak mati awal kerana 2nd hand smoke. #StadiumKitaRumahKita https://t.co/EKH1kjx1zx— Syed Saddiq (@SyedSaddiq) December 2, 2018

One netizen responded “Bring along Ridsect. If they smoke, spray Ridsect to their face. Only then will they know how it feels to not be able to breathe properly.”
Another wrote “Very true indeed. Yesterday at the stadium, even the people at the grandstand were vaping. It’s very saddening that this still happens.
The best response came in the suggestion of an app.
Come on people! It’s common sense to not smoke in public areas these days. Let’s all be a little more considerate!
