Internships are great opportunities to learn about an industry/company before going into it. Think about it, it’s like a trial period!

On 5 April, Muar MP, Syed Saddiq has tweeted that he is on the lookout for interns who are keen to work with him and join his team.

“I am looking for interns that are passionate in policy research, social media campaigns, community outreach and project management!”

In the poster, it is stated that the criteria are youths between the ages of 16-25 years old and they need to be fluent in English/Malay, if they know Mandarin or Tamil, then that would be a plus point.

The allowance stated is from RM900 to RM1,200 which is a lot considering that it is an internship!

So if you or anyone you know is interested, then you can send in your cover letter and your resume to moc.liamgobfsctd-6cd2a7@smmocqiddas.

Netizens were amazed to see that Tamil was listed as a plus point in the poster and they are happy with the representation.

Other netizens who only wanted to nitpick (but backfired) chose to talk about the allowance.

“Isn’t the minimum 1.2k?”

“This is for internships, back then when I was in the cabinet I pushed for internship allowances of RM900.”

Well, this is certainly a great opportunity for youths to learn from the Muar MP. It’s too bad that our internship ended quite a few years ago, if not we would have applied!
