Communication is crucial when discussing relationships, but where do the boundaries come in? If your partner decides not to share their social media account with you, is that not communicating?
A dating app by the name of Sweet Ring surveyed about 600 Malaysians and found that 83% of them believe that sharing information between both parties will strengthen the relationship and enhance trust.
However, both men and women believe there are things that they will not share even when they are in a long-term, stable relationship.
According to the survey made available to WORLD OF BUZZ through a press statement, 73% of Malaysian men believe that it is normal to share phone passwords and current locations with their girlfriends so that it is easier to meet up for dates and to confirm the safety of both parties.
65% will even share their bank account password after confirming that they are in a long-term, stable relationship! But, they believe that social media account passwords can never be shared as it is a private space reserved for themselves.
For Malaysian women, 63% said that if the relationship is still developing, they will not share phone passwords or information with their partners. But once both parties establish that the relationship will be long-term and stable, more than half of the women would share phone passwords, social media passwords and so on.
However, they believe that the one thing that cannot be shared are their bank account passwords.
