The Transfusion Medicine Unit of Sultan Ismail Hospital in Johor Bahru, Johor, has revealed a concerning drop in the supply of all blood groups at the hospital.

Accordingly, they have urged the public to come forward and donate blood for the continuation of saving patients in need.

In a Facebook post, the HSIJB Blood Donation Schedule, the unit revealed that the most significant drop in blood supply is within the O-type blood.

Furthermore, the Transfusion Medicine Unit also advised donors who want to donate blood to check whether they meet the criteria for donating blood.

Donors are also told to bring a donation book and identification documents when coming forward to donate blood.

In relation to that, the public can visit either the HSIJB Blood Donation Drive Facebook page, Blood Bank HSIJB Instagram account or Blood Seekers HSIJB on TikTok to get the latest schedule of blood donation drives at the hospital.

Donate blood, save lives.
