Sunway Theme Parks, consisting two of the world’s premier theme parks, and Klook, Asia’s leading platform for experiences and travel services, have signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at enhancing the global appeal of Sunway’s iconic theme parks, Sunway Lagoon and Sunway Lost World of Tambun, and boosting inbound tourism. This MOU was signed in conjunction with the launch of Nights of Fright, the multi-award-winning annual Halloween event at Sunway Lagoon, now celebrating its landmark 10th year.

Klook has proudly partnered with Sunway’s theme parks since 2017, establishing itself as the primary online travel and experience platform for these attractions. Leveraging Klook’s expertise in ticketing management, multi-market marketing and promotion, and accommodation bundling, this strategic partnership has successfully attracted more international visitors, benefited the local economy, and solidified Malaysia as a top destination for unique and thrilling attractions.

Marking its 10th anniversary in Malaysia, Klook has bolstered its partnership with Sunway Lagoon by becoming the Official Ticketing Partner for Nights of Fright 10. Celebrated as Asia’s largest Halloween event, this iconic scare fest will feature eight haunted houses, one haunted theatre, four scare zones, eleven thrill rides, and two show stages, promising an unforgettable experience for all attendees. Park visitors will also enjoy early access, a seamless booking experience, and exclusive accommodation bundles via Klook.

The MOU signing was represented by Calvin Ho, Executive Director of Sunway Theme Parks, and Sarah Wan, Klook’s General Manager for Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia.

“We are incredibly proud of the partnership with Klook. Sunway Lagoon has always been an iconic leisure destination for both Malaysians and international travellers, offering a unique blend of excitement and entertainment. This year, with Klook as our Official Ticketing Partner for Nights of Fright 10, we are enhancing the accessibility and convenience for our guests to join in the fun. We look forward to welcoming thrill-seekers from near and far to what promises to be our most electrifying and chilling event yet.” Calvin Ho, Executive Director, Sunway Theme Parks.

“Horror experiences have seen a surge in popularity among Malaysians. We have observed a notable increase in bookings for horror-themed activities on Klook. These spine-tingling experiences resonate particularly well with travellers aged 18-30, who are always on the lookout for unique and thrilling adventures. As both Klook and Nights of Fright celebrate our 10th anniversaries this year, we look forward to delivering unforgettable Halloween memories and experiences for all.” said Sarah Wan, Klook’s General Manager for Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia.

“At Sudden Impact! Entertainment Company, our mission has always been to create the most immersive and unforgettable experiences. We take pride in pushing the boundaries of horror entertainment, offering a blend of local and international theme that will provide guests with a truly spine-chilling and entertaining adventure.” said Lynton V. Harris, Chief Executive Officer and Global Creative Director of Sudden Impact! Entertainment Company.
