How do you create an unforgettable event? You go big or go home! Once in a while, there’s no harm in “defying the odds” as long as you follow the rules. Just recently, a Malaysian man glided down the flying fox zip line in a “Harry Potter” costume, and what comes next? Batman gliding down the zipline?
Forget fictional characters this time. Just recently, a group of Malaysian graduates decided to make their pre-graduation ceremony the one to remember by roaming in the air. Yes, you read that right! (With the help of a zipline, of course!)
On her TikTok account @raffthefirst, Rafiqah documented the good times with her friends at Taman Tasik Shah Alam where they sped down the flying fox in their graduation robes!
Well, they’re free to “roam in the air” now that they’re relieved of the burden as students!
Going crazy but with rules followed
The “impulsive” decision was not planned in advance. Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Rafiqah said she was initially there with her friends for a pre-convocation photoshoot. Young minds are easily inspired and that was what happened when the girls saw the zipline.
“We saw the Flying Fox area and the idea to glide down the zipline in our convocation robes just dawned upon us!”
Of course, despite the idea of doing something different, Rafiqah made sure to double-check with the staff if it was okay to glide down the zipline in convocation robes.
“He said we could do so and even encouraged us to do it. Apparently, we were not the 1st to do so,” Rafiqah told WORLD OF BUZZ.
After getting the green light, the rest was history. Rafiqah and her friends took a trip down the zipline in their convocation robes and had the luxury of witnessing the mesmerising view at the lake in Shah Alam. Let’s take a glide down and witness the majestic view from Rafiqah’s point of view!

Congratulations on the graduation and completion of your studies! The celebration for pre & post-graduation ceremony have certainly gone through lots of changes in trends. How did you celebrate in the past?
