We’re sure there’s nobody on planet Earth who doesn’t know famous footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo.
It’s without a doubt that he’s one of the most influential and best athletes in the world so it’s no surprise when the Portugese footballer have statues made after him.
Recently, his hometown of Madeira decided to honour the superstar athlete by renaming its airport as the Cristiano Ronaldo Airport.
During the renaming ceremony, which his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez attended on his behalf, a bronze statue of Ronaldo’s head was unveiled.
However, the statue appears to bear little resemblance to the handsome athlete, to say the least.

Sadly, this isn’t the first time this has happened to the unfortunate footballer. Back in 2014, his hometown also erected a statue of him that drew a lot of attention and became the subject of online ridicule.
