Gratitude is one of the most important things we should teach the younger generation. It’s good for their hearts and for the people around them if the words “thank you” comes easily to their mouths.
Case in point: This standard 3 girl who wrote a heartfelt note to thank her school janitor for her contributions.
The tweet was shared by the janitor’s daughter and featured images of the note given to her mother. Malaysians were so touched that it garnered 35.1k retweets and 37.6k likes.
The tweet writes, “My mother works as a janitor at an SJKC. Today, I felt touched when a student passed her a note saying how much she appreciated my mother’s hard work.”
The letter included two oat crunches and a note praising how clean the toilets are all the time and how much she likes using them.
The Mak Cik’s daughter said that the girl made her sister write the note while she drew the pictures on it.
“This is proof of good parenting as she is taught to respect everyone. This is my mom and the one in the middle is the one who wrote the note. It turns out she is the daughter to one of the teachers teaching at the school.”
How lucky the parents must be to have a child who is not only thoughtful but is respective of others.
Kudos to the parents!
