IMU Healthcare released a statement yesterday, 11 October, confirming that one of their staffs at the IMU Chiropractic Centre, Bukit Jalil has tested positive for Covid-19 on 10 October 2020.
The staff has not been on-premise since 9 October and has been admitted to Hospital Sungai Buloh for continuous care and monitoring.
In their statement, they reassured that IMU Group is united in providing support for the staff and any of their guests who came in contact with the staff. With immediate effect, they have taken full precautionary measures for all patients, staffs and students in compliance with the Ministry of Health which included:
- The District Health Department (PKD) was immediately notified and contact tracing is being carried out
- Anyone who came in close contact with the staff is currently being tested with the rt-PCR test and are placed under home quarantine for 14 days
- The IMU Chiropractic Centre at Bukit Jalil has temporarily been closed for thorough sanitisation and disinfection according to infection control guidelines. The centre will be reopened upon receiving clearance from the MOH.
- They will continue to take all necessary preventive measures including regular sanitisation at all IMU Healthcare Clinic and Centres to ensure the safety of their patients, students and staffs.
Meanwhile, the management also urged everyone to abide by necessary SOPs including wearing your mask at all times and maintain physical distancing of at least one to two metres. If you’re unwell or experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms, make sure to get swab tested immediately.
