Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the use of face masks has become a norm for almost everyone. Face masks have become an extension of our facial appearance, especially when we are out and about. However, when eating out, you need to open the face mask, which might increase some people’s anxiety levels.
So to address this, a company in South Korea has released Kosk, a mask that covers one’s nose. As explained by The Guardian, the term comes from combining the word Ko, which is nose in the Korean language, and the word mask. These nose masks come in two designs. One is to be worn on the nose only, and the other also comes with a design that allows users to open their mouths when they want to eat.
While it’s weird, it’s seen to be better than not wearing anything when outside, especially when in cafes, eateries and other public places. Kosk is sold through the Coupang site in South Korea for 9,800 Won, which is around RM34.
