A father was left heartbroken after his biological son who was abducted 14-years ago (9 October 2007) refused to return home as he would rather continue living life with his adoptive family.

According to Daily Star, the father, Sun Haiyang from Hubei, China, recently reunited his son 18-year-old son, Zhuo, after various parties and police conducted investigations.

During the long-awaited reunion, Haiyang shed tears of joy as he had the opportunity to meet his son once again after 14-years of being separated.

Zhuo too cried as he was finally able to return to his father’s arms after being abducted in Shenzhen back in 2007 when he was only 4-years-old.

However, Zhuo decided not to go home with his biological parents and instead chose to live with his adoptive family who has been taking care of him since surviving the abduction. This left Haiyang devastated.

Zhuo expressed his guilt for deciding not to return to his original family.

“I have a new home now. But both sides are my parents.”

What are your thoughts on Zhuo’s decision? Let us know in the comment section below!
