Some of us may have a love/hate relationship with our siblings. Most of the time, it’s more love than hate.
In a Twitter thread that has gone viral, Nadhirah shares about how she took some breathtaking pictures for her younger sister’s wedding. There were 2,207 retweets and 6,995 likes on the thread.
Can’t afford outdoor wedding shoots for my baby sister’s big day bc of the lockdown so we took pictures at home with my sunset lamp and I am beyond happy with the results!

Marriage during the pandemic
Getting married during the pandemic is really hard and as for Nadhirah’s sister, Zulaikha, she chose to go on with her wedding as she did not want to delay it any longer. Before going to the Islamic department, Zulaikha, her fiance and her father needed to get swab tests to make sure that they were Covid-free. When it was time, only the three of them went there while the rest of the family members and close friends joined through Google Meet.
The ‘wedding lunch’ was super lowkey with only immediate family members in the same household. They ate, they talked, and as a wedding gift, Nadhirah made a montage of words from people who are close to them. In addition to that, she also offered to photograph the newlyweds.
At first, it was really hard as they had limited space and the weather was very warm and humid. After some brainstorming, Nadhirah remembered that she has a sunset lamp and the gears in her head started turning. After snapping the pictures, she edited them to give off the vibes of a dreamy, 80s wedding vibe. The vibes are definitely there!
Relationship between the siblings
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Nadhirah explained that she and Zulaikha are three years apart and they basically grew up together by doing similar things. She described that they had a love/hate relationship when they were younger as they had opposing personalities (one is really tidy while the other is not)! Their relationship grew when they aged and soon, Zulaikha became Nadhirah’s biggest supporter.
“I was away from Malaysia for both my Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree. But no matter the time zone, she would always pick up my calls whenever I needed to cry.”
Other than that, Nadhirah also said that the best part about Zulaikha as a sister is that she is someone that is reliable and someone who shares the same sense of humour.
“It’s never a dull moment when we’re spending time with each other even when we’re all grown up, living our separate lives.”
“Photography is more than a hobby”
Talking about photography, Nadhirah said that she started getting into it at the age of 16 when her parents gifted her with a Lomo LC-A+. Becoming increasingly interested, she bought more film cameras to experiment with.

Fast forward to the more recent years, Nadhirah met Ariff (who will, later on, become her boyfriend and fiance), a concert photographer in Boston. He gifted her a Fujifilm X100f (which Nadhirah used to photograph Zulaikha and her husband) and taught her everything she needed to know. Other than that, he also guided her on how to use Adobe Lightroom to edit pictures.
Elaborating more, the young woman said that she will be taking time to develop her photography skills and passion for it. Thus, she opened up an Instagram account for the pictures that she took (@lifethirtyfive).
The photos that Nadhirah took is definitely really pretty and we can’t wait to see more from her!
