Only small portions of the deliveries via the warehouse will be delayed.
To implement the additional SOPs outlined by the Ministry Of Health (KKM), the Shopee Shah Alam warehouse will be temporarily closed. According to Shopee, the reason for closure is due to the EMCO in Shah Alam, and has no relation with the alleged Covid-19 cases.
“The guidance is very helpful and our warehouse will be closed temporarily to implement these added SOPs as quickly as possible. To clarify, the Shopee platform is operating per business as usual and deliveries made by Shopee Express and all our other delivery partners are not affected,” Shopee said in a statement yesterday (10 July 2021).
Shopee also added that some delays may occur and only for deliveries via our warehouse, which are a small portion of overall orders. Buyers whose orders are affected will also receive an alert via push notifications in their Shopee account.
Shopee also reinforced that the closure will not affect the site’s overall platform operations and more updates on the situation will be shared via their official social media accounts.
