The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) arrested a Singaporean man after he drove into a Mookata restaurant in Johor Bahru on Wednesday (March 5) at about 10:50pm.
The Johor Bahru Selantan District Police took to their Facebook page to share a statement which explained that the 46-year-old man had not only crashed into the restaurant but also a parked vehicle while attempting to reverse out of the restaurant.

“The accident occurred when the driver of a Suzuki car, who was a 46-year-old Singaporean citizen, had failed to control the car until he drove into the restaurant. The said motorcar had hit the wall of the shop, a chair and a table,”
“While the driver was backing out of the restaurant, he crashed into a parked Honda HRV car.”
Thankfully, no one was injured in this incident.
He refused to cooperate with police

While the man took a breathalyser test during his arrest, he refused to cooperate with the police in taking a second test, leading him to be taken to the Sultanah Aminah Hospital (HSA) for toxicology samples to detect the level of alcohol in his body.
This case is currently being investigated under Section 45A (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. If convicted, the man may face up to 2 years in prison, a fine of between RM10,000 and RM30,000, and a disqualification from holding a driver’s license for 2 years.
A video of the man’s crash has since gone viral on social media. You can check out the video here.
