In a tweet that made waves on X, a woman in Selangor was shocked to discover that her RM100 MySARA allocation had already been claimed by someone else on 2nd September 2025.

The woman, who had previously lost her Identification Card in Sabah, realised the issue when she was informed that RM98.60 had been spent from her SARA account.

In a Facebook post, CCTV footage showed an unidentified individual purchasing eggs and rice using the stolen IC.

The video captured a woman in a pink sweater using the IC to buy groceries at a supermarket.

A receipt was also shared, detailing the items bought with the RM100 that was allegedly misused.

According to the receipt, the woman purchased two trays of 30 eggs and two packets of rice, totalling RM98.60, charged to a MYKASIH 5272 account.

Netizens commenting on the post speculated that such incidents are common in Tawau.

“This serves as proof that many Indonesians and Filipinos own fake ICs.”

One user commented, “They sell ICs in Sabah. We want the authorities to take action.”

“Supposedly, if you’ve created a new IC, the chip on the old one should be disabled,” said another.

The IC owner has since lodged a police report, and the case is currently under investigation.
