The Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia (JBPM) has confirmed that a massive fire has broken out in a forest area on a hill opposite Sunsuria Forum, Setia Alam, Selangor, on Tuesday (14 October).
Videos and photos of the incident have since circulated on social media, sparking concerns from Malaysians.

According to a report by BERNAMA, the JBPM Selangor Assistant Director of Operations, Ahmad Mukhlis Mokhtar, shared that his department received an emergency call about the incident at about 4:45 PM.
“Following that, 7 officers and personnel from the Klang Utara Fire and Rescue Station were mobilised, and they arrived at the scene at 5:07 PM,” he said.
Ahmad Mukhlis added that the fire involved a forest area of 1.21 hectares on a hill approximately 300 metres in altitude.
