An old CCTV video clip has been giving netizens shivers down their spine as it captured what seems to be footage of a ‘ghost passenger’ following a man into a taxi. Although it’s dated back to 2012, the surveillance video was only recently discovered and is already giving everybody nightmares.
Nothing seems out of place in the beginning of the video – just a man hailing a cab. As the taxi pulls up and he opens the door of the cab to get inside, an apparition of what appears to be a figure of a long haired lady with a white gown appears right behind him.
The figure follows closely behind him and gets into the taxi together with him!
Uhmmmmmmmmmmmm..
Japan is the home of many cult classic horror films that have been responsible for many sleepless nights. People have been naming the figure as Sadako, which is said to resemble the apparition closely.
But skeptics are aplenty. Many think that this video could be a gimmick – a cleverly choreographed promo to hype up the Sadako vs Kayako Movie, released on July 14th.
Then again, it’s been reported that after the devastating earthquake in 2011, several taxi drivers have encountered ghost passengers. Many taxi drivers would turn on the meter after picking up a passenger only to later discover that they had no one in the car with them. Eeeeekkk!

So, is the footage for reals? Or just a publicity stunt? Either way, I’m not sticking around to find out!
