A lot of the concern over the current wave of Covid-19 started after Sabah recently had their state elections.

Many people in Sabah ended up getting infected, causing a number of clusters and a spike in Covid-19 cases throughout Malaysia.

Well, it seems that they’ll be having another election in Sabah, as announced by the Chairman of the Election Commission of Malaysia (SPR), Datuk Abdul Ghani Salleh.

Sidang media Pengerusi SPR mengenai PRK Batu Sapi 5 Disember 2020

He shared that the Batu Sapi By-Elections (PRK) will be held on 5 December, 2020, which comes after parliament member for Batu Sapi, Datuk Liew Vui Keong passed away on 2 October.

Datuk Abdul Ghani also shared that the list of candidates will be released by 23 November.

We genuinely hope that all those campaigning and participating will strictly follow the standard operating procedures set in place by the authorities to ensure that there isn’t a repeat of the mistakes from the previous state elections.
