Three masked men break into the Ulu Klang home and steal a safe
The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has since confirmed that the incident occurred at a residence in Taman Hillview, Ulu Klang.
According to Ampang Jaya District Police Chief ACP Khairul Anuar bin Khalid, a woman lodged a police report on 26 December last year at approximately 12:15 PM, after discovering that the kitchen door had been forced open and a safe was missing.
“When the complainant went to her employer’s house in Taman Hillview, Ulu Klang, to charge an electric vehicle battery, she noticed the back kitchen door had been forced open. An inspection revealed that a safe was missing from the master bedroom,” he stated.

The homeowner suffered an estimated RM2 million loss
Khairul Anuar added that the homeowner lost an estimated RM2 million in the incident. Following this, five men and one woman, all foreign nationals, were detained to assist with the investigation.
However, he clarified that those arrested were found not to be involved in the crime. The case is still under investigation, with the perpetrators actively being tracked.

The police are investigating the case under Section 457 of the Penal Code.
“If convicted, the offence carries a prison term of up to five years and/or a fine. If theft is involved, the sentence can be extended up to 14 years, and for repeat offenders, the court may also impose a fine or caning,” the statement revealed.
