Many Malaysians have spent their lives trying to make their country proud. But, have they received the recognition and reward that they deserve?

Unfortunately, the answer to that isn’t desirable.

Former goalkeeper for the Selangor football team, Jamsari Sabian, took to his Facebook page to share how he has to sell the medals he had previously won due to not having received a salary in 4 months.

He wrote, “I need to let go of my Mppj fc 2001 to 2004 medals, I need to cover for not getting a salary for 4 months. So, I have to let them go.”

According to a report by Sinar Harian, he had served Kelantan United FC (KUFC) as a goalkeeper coach last season but had not received his salary and wanted to let go of his medals for a value of RM30,000.

This isn’t the first time Jamsari Sabian has tried to sell his medals as back in September 2023, he was actively looking for buyers to purchase his medals.

Thankfully, it looks like he doesn’t need to sell any of his items anymore as he has started receiving his payments.

“Alhamdulilah, thank you to KUFC management as they have started to pay their arrears. The balance will be settled at the end of January 2024. There was a slight misunderstanding but it has been resolved successfully. Thank you again to the KUFC management. May all processes be eased,” he wrote in a new post.
