‘Puteri Reformasi’ Nurul Izzah Anwar Finds Love Again, Marries KRI Researcher Yin Shao Loong

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Permatang Pauh and PKR vice-president, Nurul Izzah Anwar has found love again and tied the knot on Friday (5 August 2022) with Yin Shao Loong, a senior research associate at Khazanah Research Institute (KRI). The 42-year-old politician is one of the most prominent female political leaders in Malaysia and has been dubbed ‘Puteri Reformasi’ or Reform Princess during her rise in the political scene.

Sharing the good news on her official Facebook page, Nurul Izzah revealed that she and Yin Shao Loong tied the knot in the evening of 5 August 2022 in the presence of their immediate family. The couple also asked for the blessings and prayers of the public.

46-year-old Yin Shao Loong was previously the former PKR deputy president Azmin Ali’s strategic communications director when he was the Menteri Besar of Selangor and had also served as executive director of Institute Rakyat, a PKR think thank which was headed by Nurul Izzah.

Both Nurul Izzah and Yin Shao Loong were previously married and has children from their previous marriage. Nurul Izzah divorced in 2015 after being married to businessman Raja Ahmad Shahrir Iskandar Raja Ahmad in 2003 and had two children together. As for Yin Shao Loong, he was married to filmmaker Tan Chui Mui and has one son together before splitting in 2019.
