“You must study hard when you’re young and get a degree or you won’t be able to advance in your career and people won’t pay you as much!”

I’m sure most of us have heard this advice from our family members, mentors, and friends. Well, you’d be surprised to hear that this advice is more applicable than you think. According to The Star, analysis on social media revealed a trend where the academic qualifications of call girls, on top of their appearance, determined their asking rates per hour.

It seems clients are willing to fork out up to RM500 for each hour for the services of hookers with degrees, a far cry from their less attractive or educated counterparts at RM250 to RM350 an hour. Working only a few nights per month, a higher-end prostitute could easily earn as much as professionals in other fields.

Like any other modern industry, the oldest profession in the world has not only supported upskilling but online marketing and established SOP as well.

Investigations show that the online catalogues that promote these girls contain specific standards of client-type and particular rules regarding what behaviours they will or will not engage in. Some websites even have a review section for satisfied customers to recommend exceptional services.

Bukit Aman Anti-Vice, Gambling and Secret Societies Division principal assistant director Senior Asst Comm Datuk Rohaimi Md Isa has stated that local women are more popular than foreigners, adding that the pimps behind the prostitutes get a commission of RM50 to RM500 per client.

Furthermore, the police are working with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to block websites that promote such illegal services.

Netizens were either bewildered or amused by this as jokes and questions arose about the necessity of academic qualifications in their line of work.

“LOL… want to prostitute yourself also need degree nowadays,” said one netizen.

“It’s a new form of foreplay. Instead of using a whip, they use their cert to throw at you,” said another user.

Guess mum and dad were right after all. Looks like that degree’s gonna help you no matter where you end up!

Is a higher asking price fair for a call girl with a degree? What about a PhD? Do you feel there’d be a difference? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
