It’s no secret that there are a gazillion kinds of counterfeit shoes out there.

But, just because you see an odd looking pair of branded shoes does not mean that they are fakes.

A Taiwanese netizen took to the ●【爆廢公社】● Facebook group, as reported by Noodou, to share their shock to discover a primary school student wearing a pair of Nike shoes, that initially looked odd due to the Nike logo being backwards, which costs a whopping 45,000 TWD (RM4,554).

They wrote, “Do parents these days dote on their children so much? Wait, he’s still a primary school student!”

In their post, the netizen decided to find the shoes online to check the price.

The netizen did a quick search and revealed that the pair of sneakers worn by the primary school student is a collaborative model by Nike’s AIR JORDAN series with the American rapper Travis Scott.

Many took to the post to share their initial belief that the shoes were a counterfeit due to the Nike logo being backwards.

“Is it possible that it’s a Taobao version?” one commenter asked. Another said, “There’s a lot of fake stuff, so don’t take this seriously.”

Though, the shoes may very much be an authentic pair of Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG ‘Reverse Mocha’, which are currently being sold by online stores for upwards of RM7,399.

Do you think that the primary school student’s shoes are authentic? Do feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section.
