Zoo visits are often a creative way to get us to experience animals we may otherwise not have the opportunity to interact with. And luckily for one Malaysian girl, she received the most wholesome of these occasion with an unlikely creature that was nothing short of heart-warming and precious.
A recent TikTok clip has been making waves online after Malaysian content creator Athirah Mohamad, who goes by Ummi on her social media platforms, shared a video of herself carrying a raccoon from a zoo in Seri Kembangan called Farm In The City.
Brief yet impactful, the video posted to her page @userrrrr0424 shows Ummi pick the raccoon from a handler and carrying it gently. Going to the girl almost instantly, the raccoon reaches out for Ummi, hovering over her shoulder once she properly holds the creature. Adorable in every sense of the word, the raccoon takes to the girl well, even reaching towards her face to give her kisses and hugs.
Stroking its back, Ummi playfully and gently entertains the raccoon, who can’t seem to get enough of her in the moment.
“Carrying a raccoon is like carrying a three-year-old child,” mentioned Ummi in the caption of her post.
Posing a question in the comments section, multiple people asked how much the raccoon weighed, to which Ummi revealed that it was more than 10kgs, as stated by the zoo ranger.
However, many Malaysians were eclipsed by the raccoon’s charm and beauty, saying that they wanted to visit the raccoon just to do the same. Others, on the other hand, stated that they did not get the chance to do the same when they visited the zoo in the past.
“Why didn’t you spank his backside, it looks so fluffy!” light-heartedly added one user.
