Palestine and Israel are at war, again. The loss of lives and the anxiety of living through another day while wondering if you’re going to make it is no doubt torturous. Amidst the war, people from around the world help in any way they can, be it through prayers or donations.
As for our very own celebrity chef, Khairul Aming, he decided to donate a chunk of his sales from Sambal Nyet to the Cinta Gaza Malaysia (CGM) donation box in an effort to help Palestinians who are affected by the ongoing war. The donation was revealed via his TikTok @khairulaming last night (October 15), where the humble chef said that he has donated a whopping RM100,000 to help the war victims.
In the clip, Khairul also invited all Malaysians to contribute financially to the donation box, which is targeting a collection of RM10 million for the victims in Palestine. He also thanked his loyal customers for making it possible for him to donate such a huge amount to the victims.
“This contribution came from all your support,” Khairul told his followers.
What if you can’t contribute financially?
Fret not! It is, of course, your discretion whether to donate or not but if you are unable to do so, Khairul said simple prayers about the well-being of the victims of war would be a great help too.
“At least know about what’s going on and and spread the awareness as much as you can. Hopefully, our brothers and sisters there can fight to live another day.”
As of now, the CGM donation box has collected about RM6 million in donations, which will be used to obtain medicines, food, equipment for rescue work, and others. CGM is set up by a non-governmental organisation. Khairul also said that he wished to help CGM in achieving the RM10 million milestone.
