An incident involving a man at KLIA Terminal 2 that went viral on social media has been clarified by police as an accident, not an act of intentional misconduct.
KLIA District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner M. Ravi said the police have not received any report regarding the case, despite widespread online speculation.

According to Ravi, the incident took place on 6 March at around 9:50 PM at the MyBorder counter in the international arrivals area of KLIA Terminal 2.
The individual involved, a 44‑year‑old Indian national, had reportedly missed his scheduled flight the previous day after falling asleep. While waiting at the terminal, he scratched his right thigh, which unintentionally caused his trousers to slip for a brief moment.
Terminal staff who were present noticed the situation and promptly advised and assisted the man in fixing his clothing.

Not intentional
Ravi said initial investigations found no deliberate attempt at inappropriate behaviour, and the man appeared unaware that his actions had caused any misunderstanding.
Representatives from the airline later contacted the man’s relatives and subsequently handed him over to the Indian High Commission. He is expected to return to his home country on 14 March.
Ravi reminded the public to remain mindful of their actions in busy public spaces to avoid causing unnecessary alarm or misunderstandings.
“Such situations can easily lead to confusion or concern, especially in crowded locations like airports,” he said.
