7 suspects are believed to have fled into Malaysia after allegedly robbing a gold store of jewellery worth ~RM4.6 million in Sungai Golok, Thailand, on 5 October.
According to a report by Berita Harian, the Commander of the 4th Thai Army Region, Lieutenant General Naratip Phoyanok, shared that his department is requesting assistance from the Malaysian authorities in tracking down the suspects involved.

“The authorities have launched an operation following this incident at the Big C supermarket in the town of Sungai Golok, which borders Malaysia. 3 of the 10 suspects have been arrested, while 7 others fled into Malaysia,” he said.
The Thai police have since contacted the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) as well as the military for assistance.
“We suspect that these people crossed into the neighbouring country (Malaysia) with the help of several individuals, with all suspects also suspected of being involved in vehicle theft cases,” he added.
The 5 October incident

On the day, 10 armed robbers entered the Big C shopping centre before fleeing with stolen jewellery worth ~RM4.6 million.
A military sergeant, who was shopping at the time, was shot in the incident. 2 pickup trucks were also stolen and used in the robbery, before the 2 vehicles were found abandoned near the Malaysian border.
3 of the 10 suspects were successfully arrested at 3 separate locations in Sungai Padi, Thailand, on 15 October.
