Fast forward to today, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim shared on his Facebook page that he took the opportunity to visit two families affected by the fire at Jalan Nuri, Kampung Seri Cheeding.

He said he also handed over aid to the victims, including the family who lost their three-year-old son after he was trapped in the blaze.
“Before performing Friday prayers today, I had the opportunity to visit and deliver aid to two families whose homes were destroyed in a fire at Jalan Nuri, Kampung Seri Cheeding, Banting two weeks ago,” he wrote.

Anwar also shared that he was deeply saddened by the tragedy and expressed hope that the assistance provided would help lighten the families’ burden.
“The incident was truly heartbreaking, especially as one of the families also lost a loved one. I hope this small contribution can help ease their burden in some way, and I pray that both families are granted patience, strength, and that their affairs are made easier as they face this incredibly difficult trial,” he added.
