Just a moment ago, in a press conference, Prime Minister Dato Seri Ismail Sabri had announced that Malaysia will officially move into the endemic phase on 1 April 2022. Not only that but the borders of the country are also expected to open on the same day!

In addition to that, Sabri also said that no more curfew will be implemented for business hours around the country. This means that selected businesses are allowed to revert to their previous 24/7 business hours.

Fake Mamak Covid 19 Warning

In terms of MySejahtera, it is not going away anytime soon as check-ins are still mandatory except for open spaces without crowds.

For Muslims, Jemaah prayers will be allowed without physical distancing when the country enters the endemic phase. Do keep in mind that masks must still be worn in public places!

Additionally, here’s what the PM reminded the public in terms of what to do when we enter the endemic phase:

  • Clean your hands regularly
  • Ensure good ventilation in all premises
  • Interstate traveling will be allowed regardless of your vaccination status
  • Adhere to SOPs set by the Ministry if you are tested positive for Covid-19
