A woman in her 20s in ‘Kurumi Tokisaki’ cosplay lost her life after falling from the 28th floor of her condominium in Bayan Lepas, Penang, last night (September 3).
The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has since given an update about the case, revealing that the victim was 5 months pregnant. Furthermore, she was believed to have recently gone through a breakup, whereby her partner left her before the tragic incident.

“However, we are still investigating the matter, and the case is now classified as sudden death (SDR),” Assistant Commissioner Sazalee Adam, Barat Daya district Police Chief said, reported Harian Metro.
In the meantime, the operation commander of the fire brigade, Muhammad Firdaus Mohamad Saad, said that his department received a call about the matter at 12:43 AM, and the firefighters were deployed to the scene to assist the police before cleaning the scene, as seen in photos shared by the fire brigade on its Facebook post.
A hose reel from the fire truck was used in the cleaning process, and Firdaus said it took them about 40 minutes to complete the cleaning.
The victim was wearing an anime costume resembling the character ‘Kurumi Tokisaki’, and it is understood that the incident was noticed by residents after hearing a loud bang from the location of the incident.
Residents also claimed that the victim was often spotted in cosplay, wearing a complete anime costume while carrying a doll and sitting near the elevator lobby of the building.
