A 26-year-old man with 10 criminal records died when he was arrested by the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) for robbing 4 women and raping 1 of them in a Kuala Lumpur condominium.
One of the victims, however, managed to call for help, discreetly.

For illustration purposes
Police were alerted to the incident after one of the victims sent a message to her employer via Microsoft Teams
In a report by Sin Chew, the victim secretly sent a message to her employer via the Microsoft Teams application installed on her mobile phone. After receiving the distress message, her boss immediately called the police station, and two officers from the Wangsa Maju Police Station rushed to the scene.
The suspect opened the door 5 minutes after the PDRM officers knocked on the door. He tried to stab them with a knife, but the police officers managed to evade his attack.
The suspect then died during the arrest after suffering shortness of breath.

The suspect’s cause of death is still being investigated
At the time of writing (8 October), PDRM has yet to release an official statement on the matter, and the suspect’s cause of death is still “pending investigation.”
During the incident, the suspect tied the hands of all 4 women and locked 3 of them in the main bedroom. The other woman was brought into another bedroom, where she was raped twice.
The matter took place on 6 October around 12:40 PM at the condo, and stay tuned as we keep you updated.
