The Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) recently revealed a rather interesting incident that took place at Tapah R&R (North Bound) in Perak.
Taking to its official Facebook page, the PDRM department shared that a 15-year-old Malaysian teen was accidentally left behind by his family at the Petronas station there and went on with their journey without realising he wasn’t inside one of their vehicles.
The post revealed that two police officers, Insp Muhamad Hafizd with L/KPL Firzad Shamir found the teen all by himself while patrolling the area.
The officers then managed to track down the teen’s parents and contacted them to notify them that they had left their son behind at Tapah R&R.
Both of them then transported the teen via a PDRM patrol vehicle to the Tapah toll plaza so that he can safely be reunited with his family.
When the family was finally reunited, the police officers advised the family to be more vigilant of the whereabouts of their children and to always ensure their safety.
In the comments section of the post, a commenter, believed to be the father of the teen clarified that his son was travelling in his aunt’s car and that the incident happened when the family stopped at the R&R to buy some drinks.
The teen left the vehicle without notifying the family because he couldn’t stand a stomach ache and rushed to the toilet. The aunt didn’t notice his disappearance and left him behind, possibly thinking that the teen went to the other vehicle instead.
The father then thanked both police officers for their assistance and hoped that their kindness and concern would be rewarded by God.
So, what do you guys think of the whole incident? Have you experienced something like this before? Share your thoughts with us in the comments!
