Following Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd’s response to the viral confrontation between a bus driver and a group of cyclists, PDRM is now keeping an eye on the matter.
In an official statement by PDRM in Kuala Selangor today (July 8), no reports on the matter were lodged, but the police came across the viral video on social media.
Superintendent Azaharudin Bin Tajudin, Kuala Selangor Police Chief, stated that, according to preliminary investigations, the confrontation took place on Sunday morning (July 6) around 9:35 AM at KM23, Jalan Kuala Selangor – Kuala Lumpur, towards Sungai Buloh.

Based on police observation, the group of cyclists pedalled on the left lane, and was blocking the bus’s path.
In a statement by Rapid Bus, the management also pointed out that the driver was forced to descend from the vehicle and confront the cyclists about the matter.

Azaharudin added that the police are currently locating the group of cyclists, and witnesses are urged to come forward to the nearest police station to assist with the investigation. In the meantime, the matter is also being investigated under the Road Traffic Rules 1959 for cycling in a manner that causes obstruction.
PDRM also confirmed that no accidents occurred during the incident.
