Previously, the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) appealed to the public for help in locating a 53-year-old woman, Suri Narudin, who was reported missing on 8 December.
Ampang Jaya District Police Chief Khairul Anuar Khalid said the woman’s aunt lodged a police report on her disappearance at the Ampang Jaya Police Station in Selangor on 15 December.

In a recent development, Negeri Sembilan Police Chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad confirmed the discovery of a woman’s body, believed to be linked to the disappearance.

Suri Narudin has been reported missing since 8 December
The body was found at an unoccupied house in Kampung Batu 4, Pedas, Rembau, yesterday (December 18).
“Following the report, a case was filed at the Pedas Police Station on 18 December. Acting on the information, police went to a house along Jalan Pedas-Linggi for further checks and found signs of criminal activity at the back of the house,” he told Sinar Harian.

Alzafny Ahmad said further checks led police to a bag containing the body, which was buried at the back of the house, according to Harian Metro.
He added that investigations have been intensified, with efforts focused on tracking down those suspected to be involved in the case.
The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder, and anyone with information is urged to contact the Rembau District Police Headquarters hotline at 06-685 2222.
